Micro teaching reflections

After reading feedback from microteaching, our team summarized some reflection we can focus on:

Strength:

Strong Introduction

Activity is a clear check understanding given the equation

Good recap and check at the end

Great engaging example to start with

All learning goals effectively addressed

Good shape of the day power point

Good ice breaker of the sun and shadow to interpret and understand the use of sine

Good projection of voice

 

Stretch： 

Should not use the ruler on the board, use free and drawing instead, draw better triangles before hand or during class work time.

Need to use the standard terms

Switch notation a bit too much, e.g. switch between c or AB cause confusing  

Face students while speaking and not to block the board too much from students and to make sure to speak loudly

Make use real triangles to better explain the problem

Use different colors for triangles for better visualization

Repeat on objectives to make sure students follow

Avoid mistakes in teaching
